JANE
ORR  

Jane Orr is a builder, and a lover. She has a deep interest in the relationship between material and the communities it brings together. In this process she engages with how agency emerges as the effect of impromptu configurations of human and nonhuman forces. Working construction for ten years, Jane questions how materials are layered to conceal their functions and identity. 
‍
Born in the Bronx to Northern-Irish parents she now finds herself living and working in Los Angeles.
A period of moving, accumulating stories, and deepening her understanding of, and relationship to, Ceramics, Concrete,
Drywall, and Mud Jane questions how these materials function as joints between groups and provide a rhythmic connection to time.

Blue chalk line’s create a 1 point perspective horizon line on the lower half of the paper. Red lines rise up from the horizon lines acting like lines in a composition notebook. On the top of the page USER Manual 2020-2021 is written over and over again in different fonts.

Cups in descending height order. Each cup has a sliver cut out of the rim so your lip fits into the cup.
Colanders
baskets in descending height order. Ranging in colors from red, blue, turquorise, white, and metal luster. Baskets are perforated like a plastic laundry basket.
